Oliver Rix - Director

Oliver Rix is one of the founding directors of Redpoint Energy.  He has 16 years of energy market experience spanning regulatory, investment and risk advice and systems, working with some of the largest energy companies in Europe and North America.

Oliver has led the development of Redpoint’s Risk Analytics service area, working with clients to establish best practice risk management processes and systems, and expanding Redpoint’s risk modelling tools and techniques.  Prior to forming Redpoint, Oliver was director of European Product Management for SunGard Energy Systems, responsible for energy trading and risk management systems for clients across Europe.  He joined Caminus Energy (prior to its acquisition by SunGard) in 1996 from Shell, where he worked extensively in investment advisory services and with the UK regulator.

Oliver has a degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Cambridge .
