Nick Screen - Senior Consultant

Nick joined Redpoint in September 2006, having attained a first class honours Master of Chemistry degree from the University of Oxford.  Nick has worked extensively on investment dynamics and price formation in European power markets.  He has provided market analysis and generation asset valuation to support a major acquisition by a large European energy company.  He has worked with policy makers on future renewables policy and security of supply issues, and with regulators on formal model validation.  He managed the development and delivery of a power market modelling suite for an international technology company.

Nick has significant experience in the renewables sphere.  Nick was lead analyst of a major study of the impact of different renewables support schemes on investment in the GB electricity market in support of the UK Government’s Renewable Energy Strategy, including the impact of increased penetration of renewable generation on the power market and on consumers.  He has performed long-term modelling of wholesale power and ROC prices for renewable project developers in the GB market to support investment decisions and financing.
