Ilesh Patel - Director

Ilesh Patel joined Redpoint Energy as a Director in January 2010. He has 14 years experience of advising utilities, energy companies, banks, regulators and government on a broad range of issues relating to the electricity, gas, oil and carbon markets in Europe. His areas of specialty include commodity market analysis, energy market design, regulatory and energy policy, commodity trading and risk management and the review, design and delivery of a broad spectrum of technology solutions for major energy companies.

Prior to Redpoint Energy, Ilesh was Head of the Energy, Utilities, & Services in Europe for Infosys Technologies Ltd where he was responsible for Infosys global relationships with major Energy and Utilities across Europe and managed the P&L responsibilities for this business including all client facing and business operations functions. Apart from his role as the head of EUS in Europe, Ilesh also served as part of Infosys’ Management Council and was part of the tiered leadership, senior management body that defines and drives the strategic direction of the company.

Ilesh received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics with first class honours from the University of Oxford, St. John’s College in 1996.
